I performed 35 hours of professional engineering services for the home owner & he does not want to pay the $3500 bill. I started the small claims court process and we have a count date on 12/2/03. I have also started the mechanics lien process - Is there any conflict between the two??
I sent him the 20 day preliminary lien notice and am about to file the MECHANIC'S LIEN. This seems to be a pretty simple filing process in the County of Los Angeles -- Please give me some input on the Mechanics Lien Filing Process that I am not seeing.
