What is the name of your state?[F
ONT=Tahoma]Missouri[/FONT]What is the name of your state? They were garnished for $5,500.00. We owe less than $2000.00 now, it was for a credit card with a $900.00 limit that he did'n't max , all that was interest and over limit fees, ect. We had 3 years of taxes done and we are getting back alot but we are afraid to file because they might take it. Can they? Also, is there anything we can do at this point to fight how much money they are getting?

So it wasn't MAXED , were the monthly payments made on time . Read your contract .

They can only take what IS owed .

File your Taxes .

If you do Not agree with the Amount you CAN dispute it with the CRA's .

If the CC Co. Has took you to Court and got a Judgment , you owe it .
