I loaned my boyfriend some money and I later found out it was for illegal use. We broke up and he hasn't paid me back. I have text messages asking him for my money and telling him when I need it and he responds ok. Can I sue him for the money he owes me?

If you are in the US, yes, you can sue him for the money you believe he owes you.
