I was brought to small claims court for a sum of $100. When our case came before the judge the plaintiff stated her business was worth over $1million and the judge responded that she needs to hire a lawyer to represent her. We are now slated to return to court in October. I am wondering if I lose the case, will I now be responsible for her lawyer fees? Should I contact her lawyer (he sent me a letter asking for payment on her behalf)?
