my old roommate borrowed money from my boyfriend for her first month's rent and half of the security deposit. we took her to court and she didn't show up so the judgement was in our favor. now we are taking her to garnish her wages but she quit her job. she had lost her papers and didn't know when the original court date was and asked us but we didn't tell her and she is saying that's why we won and did we think that she had some advantage over us and that's why we didn't tell her. if she tries to get the judgement turned over will this look bad that we didn't tell her when the date was? it's her fault she lost the papers right? she could have called the court house and got the date right?

Yes it is her responsibility to keep up with her own papers and since the only thing the law requires is that you serve her with the papers you aren't required to verbally tell her the date of the hearing.
