What is the name of your state? CO

In a writ of exemption for garnishment of wages how does one calculate their amount of exempt wage...what are the guidlines...is there a web site I can download forms on.

Is it true that a money judgment award in county court lasts only 6 years, will bankruptcy protect me from this creditor for the term and as it expires will his claim also?

Can I settle or work out a payment before the court date and avoid court altogether

*** I doubt that there is a website specific for Colorado. And the 'formula' is pretty simple. Colorado follows the federal exemptions of:
"75% of disposable earnings per week,
or an amount = to 30 x federal minimum hourly wage, whichever is greater."

"Is it true that a money judgment award in county court lasts only 6 years,"
*** Yes, and no. A CO county court judgment is valid for 6 years, but can be renewed.

"will bankruptcy protect me from this creditor for the term and as it expires will his claim also?"
*** Bankruptcy discharge will void the debt. Then, you could file a motion to vacate the judgment.

"Can I settle or work out a payment before the court date and avoid court altogether"
*** Depends on whether the creditor accepts or not.
