What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
I'm looking to pay off a judgment that was filed against me by another individual. I want to make sure it is removed from my records. Some states allow judgments to be payed through the court, but I have no idea about the local laws. Any suggestions?

what records do you want it removed from? Generally, it is not removed from any records but merely indicated as paid.

Why should it be removed? I'm sure you had an opportunity to resolve the matter with the other party before going to court but chose not to, so you lost in court. That is public. The records will indicate the judgement is satisfied but it won't disappear.
