What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
I am being sued by a payday loan company for money that I owe them. I don't dispute that I owe them. What I am disputing is how they went about serving me papers. On the documents that I was served the company has my work address as my home address. I've never put my work address on any documents that I signed. My question is can they put my work address on court documents as my home address instead of using my home address to have me served. They never attempted to have me served at my home address.

While you don’t directly say it in the post, I’m going to assume that you were served at work. TheGeekess is right; you can be served at either place and personally served wherever they can find you. What might be a bigger concern is that, until you file an Answer or other response, that is now your “address of record” for the Court and for them. Pleadings, notices and the like will properly go to your work address. You’ll want to be aware of that so that nothing is overlooked. If you do a filing, the address that you use on that will become your record address.
