The wife of a firend of mine who passed away has gone through his bank statements and found several checks that he had written me during the time that they were separated (over a year).
She now says that as the executor of his estate, I owe her this money...
Some of these checks are checks I cashed for him as I would be going to my bank and he banked somewhere else, so he just made them out to me to cash for him to have some money. Some of the money was money that he gave me. We never had any agreement that I pay him back...
Can she make me pay this money to her?
