What is the name of your state-KS and MO
Me and my gal split. I moved out of our house to MO from KS. I had a $2300 401K check delivered to the KS address and she promptly stole it by cashing it into a joint checking account I let her have responsibility over. She forged my endorsement.
Yeah, yea, stupid I know. Nobody wants to prosecute her for forgery, which is how she cashed my check in the first place. They all say take her to small claims, but that does no good because she's a bum and will have no job I can garnish wages from.
She's paid back $1100, but I can't see her paying back any more. Should I just take her to Judge Judy since they will pay you just for appearing? I'm no saint in this either because I think I used "abusive collection tactics" cussing at her to return my money.
