What is the name of your state? Indiana

I am being sued in small claims court for slander. I told no lies; however, I upset the plaintiff. There are no actual damages (loss of job/income, tarnished reputation). She is suing me for punitive damages. Are punitive damages allowed to be awarded in such a case in my state?

The Burden of Proof is on them. Unless they have something concrete, they are just blowing smoke.
