What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

The property manager of a shopping center requires employees to park in a designated area. The area is a great distance from the actual shops and are multiple prevalent obstructions of view. My car was broken into and my stereo was stolen. If i was to park where i wanted to and initially intended to, then this situation would have never occurred. I feel as though the company Donahue Schriber, the property company, should reimburse me for my losses.
