I am a tenant of a 5 bedroom apartment and have 4 other roommates that signed a lease. One night two of my roommates invited around 10 of their friends to come over, not me (my other 2 roommates were not present at the time). Then as we left our apartment to enter the elevator (12th floor) one of my roommates friends said to everyone "jump" and may people jumped but I did not and there is video footage showing how my other 2 roommates and their friends jumped and how the elevator immediately stopped. We ended up getting a bill for 1600$ and i don't think I am liable for the damage because I did not jump and cause the damage, as seen by the video footage, what should I do in this situation?

This is in Wisconsin and I am a college student
