What is the name of your state? florida
i was abused for about 7 years as a child by my stepfather. he
pleaded no contest to charges but barely got a slap on the wrist.
at the time i was too young and scared to testify. i'm older and
madder now, and want to know if i can at least file a civil suit.
he should be made to pay for all he did to me, but i'm worried i
waited too long? i'm 22 now, he abused me from ages 6-13.
i need advice!!

6 months house arrest and probation. plus, he cannot be alone with any female under 18. but all his girlfriends since has had little girls

doubt you can do anything now. that would be double jepardy, no?

can't convict a person of the same charge twice..

unless i'm missing something.
