What is the name of your state? CA

Should I add a defendant, the contractor?

I shipped my car from TX to CA. The company I paid to ship my car is inc. in TX. From what I can tell, they act like a broker. Their contractor is also in TX. The bill of lading and delivery occurred in CA. The contractor has a US DOT and TX DOT. The US DOT has a CA agent.

I filed in small claims against the company, broker. Their agent in CA is forfeit and the service was returned. With CCC 2111, the court approved service to the secretary of state on behalf of the corporation.

Should I add a defendant, the broker?
