Going to small claims court in Michigan. My affidavit and claim has a different date the claim arose than the date the claim was filed. Could this work as an advantage in court for me? Are dates required to match on both sets of paperwork?

I am not sure I understand what you mean. The date the claim arose (the reason for the action) is almost always going to be different than the date the claim was filed.

Confucius say: " Next time claim arises file claim on same day." Voilà! Matching sets!
