What is the name of your state? FLorida

I recently moved to Florida, almost two months. I was living
with some friends in Massachusetts and now she wants to take me to small claims court because she says I damaged her color TV. It was by accident when I put a plug where it wasn't supposed to go. It is only a small amount that she wants but I do not have it and I am unemployed right now. I would like to know
if she does take me to court, do I have to go to Massachusetts
to appear since I no longer live over there?

My response:

Don't worry about it. I'm not going to go into the explanation of why - - but even if she sues you, she's not going to get her money from you because it would cost her too much to collect.

Stay in Florida, and don't go anywhere.
