What is the name of your state?
Colorado
I sold a dirt bike to a individual, with "as is" on his bill of Sale.
I allowed him to ride it first and he chose to buy it.
Now his mechanic says it needs hundreds of dollars of work.
I did not know the condition of the motor.
Does he have a claim against me?

thank you

If he indeed bought it "as is", then no. Did you misrepresent the condition in any way?

Yes and No

One of the first things I learned in school is that anybody can sue anyone for anything, that doesn't mean they are going to win.

If you did not lie about anything on the dirt bike, then the other guy will have a problem with their claim. It doesn't mean the guy can't sue you. You may have to go to the courthouse and deny the claim then make sure you show up for your hearing with a copy of the receipt.

How old was the buyer? Adult, you should hope.
