What is the name of your state? California

My son, who had just turned 18, agreed to do a website for two guys. He did a great job, they loved the site. He actually did more than he should have, because he also did their entire database for the 500+ products they carry.

They decided between themselves not to pay my son the remaining $1,500 and sent him an email stating this.

I guess we've got to go to small claims court. They claim they are an LLP, but I don't find anything when I run their names.

Can we sue in small claims for more than the $1,500?
