i gave my car to a friend, he disappeared and i have not heard about my car in years, but didnt report it missing. Now I got a letter from DMV that my car is stored at such location an I should contact the storage place about how to release my car. So I did. The owner of a storage wants to charge me the storage fee, but I oppose to pay because the car was stored without my permission. He says if i don't pay he ll get the title on his name and will sell my car. Who is right? How do I get my car back?
