Summon received in Queens - NY : I dont know what to do - Pls help

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? new york

hI, I received a summon last Friday for urinating in public;

I was charged with 153.09 which is actually a crime; I spoke with several lawyers ans they charge
$750.00 and up to go with me;

Some said also if I go alone the judge will not talk to me and I wont be able to cut a deal with judge; chances are I will
be sentenced with max penalty.

is this true? What should I do? Will I given a free lawyer appointed to me? WIll they ask me my salary before giving me a free
attorney?
