What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

The company my husband worked for folded at the first of the year. Since then the company van has sat in our driveway, we made several attempts for them to remove it,
finally now after 8mths they wish to get the van. How can we receive compensation for the cost of storing it. The average price per mth in Portland , Or. is $85.00 per mth for vehicle storage. We know the company owned the van free and clear. Can we place a lein against it or what is the best approach?

In your attempts, did you give notice that you would be charging a fee for storage of the vehicle? Was this "official notification" delivered in a manner that guaranteed receipt by the vehicle owner? Or do you have a business license as a vehicle storage business? If the answers to the above are no, you have no legal standing to charge for storage of the vehicle.
