What is the name of your state?

A satellite company came to our home with an offer for 300 television stations free plus all the various packages we could purchase. In addition they promised we would get an HDTV attachment as soon as the price went down. We agreed and were charged $2,500 on a deferred payment plan, which was put on a credit card, and given a three month free deluxe package with Stars and HBO. After the three day grace period for cancelling was over, the company sent two boys out to put in a new control box and put new wire onto the existing satellite. Briefly, the work they did was awful and they cut all the wiring off of our Dish 500 which was our current working system. The Satellite control box was left with so little wire that it had to sit in the middle of the floor to reach the TV. The company promised to come out in the spring when the ground thawed to fix the terrible installation job. Within months we began loosing channels. We could no longer get Tech TV, BBC America, etc.. When we asked why, we were told our equipment was out of date and we needed to purchase another $500 receiver to get them and the HDTV box we had been promised, they now said we had to pay $500 to get that as well. The company refused to update anything or take it back. Discouraged we quit buying any packages and found that the 300 channels promised were only occasional feed which means there isn't anything on them except one or two things might pop up once in a while. So for $2,500 we got a couple occasional feed pop up channels and a poorly installed, at risk system. Even if we buy packages we can't get most of the channels because the equipment doesn't support it. We were promised a system that was better than our Dish 500 and would keep us updated into the future and got an outdated upgrade poorly installed. We have already disputed the charges to the credit card company, which ruled in favor of the merchant. The satellite company has filed for bankruptcy. We want to take the company to court and should we name the credit card company as co-defendants as well? we'd appreciate any advice!!!! Thanks.
