bad back, arm, knees , and now serious health issues

Dvr in wisconsin filed a ssi disability claim for me 20 yrs ago. I was just trying to find funding to go back to school. I have had a bad back sice i was 19 (53 now) i finally damaged it to the point that doctors orders were to never lift over 20 lbs. No constant standing or sitting for more than 2 hrs at a time. Dvr caseworker said ssi should be helping me, ssi response was i could walk without artificial aid i could work, no one would hire me being honest about my back so i insisted the doc change my limitations and his note says 'released to my own discourse'. And due to my doing jobs i shouldn't have done my knees are shot, my right arm & shoulder are damaged(right handed) and now i have incurable hep c and need a liver transplant.i have not been able to keep jobs 4 long and after my arm injury my employer let me go in lay-off due to my back. I still work everyday but dealing with these problems is getting to be too much. I have met 6 people in my life who collect disability for the same back condition i had and mine has worsened. I keep arguing with the docs, each time they reccomend the same limitations as 20 yrs ago. I really think 1 of these days i wont be able to go on, can i apply 4 benefits while working? I actually make $400 more than my disability would be i am just tired of struggling daily 2 keep going.

If you meet the criteria ,consult an SSI Attorney .

Consults are usually free - find one .

If the Attorney takes your case , it should be on a contingency basis - meaning if the attorney handles you case and wins - he/she collects about 25% of any back pay , if he/she collect zero.

The attorney will have you sign such a form of agreement .

Their is but it is hard to meet that criteria

Actually any Social Security Lawyer will take your case.. But sometimes they give you what you want in a lump sum $$$. I have seen that happen you have to be wise and distribute your money for the rest of your life if you go that route. How ever working and getting social security is a rarity really hard to get both. Perhaps just stick to disability and rearrange your finances be frugal about your money.. You know sometimes life calls us to make changes we necessarily don't want. But we have to make the adjustments either way.

Stand on my own two feet ? Been doing that for two decades. Online forms have a $980 income line. I'm kinda way above that. So thats a criteria i don't meet.
