undefinedWhat is the name of your state?Mississippi

My father "commited sucide" when I was nine years old. This ocured 24 hours before my mother's and father's divorce was final. She remarried within a year. My step-father had 4 children, no job, no car, no home. We all lived off my SS benifits and I suppose hers also. I married at 15 to get away from an abusive situation. She continued to draw my SS. I never seen a dime. I went on to have much needed thearpy and put myself through college. I'm 46 now and my mother thinks I owe her a living. Was this legal for her to continue to draw SS on me? R. No , not if your were emancipated ( married is one definition ) .

If she was your payee , the money was suppose to be spent on YOUR needs .

Also , any changes SSA was suppose to be notified .

You owe your mother NOTHING .
