disability review and general relief

Kansas

I moved here a couple years ago and have not found a good doctor (Lyme related). I recently got a review notice and dont know what to expect. It has been 7 years and I am 60. My doctors the past few years have not done anything except refill my meds. I am wondering if I get denied my benefits if I can automatically apply for General Relief while I appeal? I have done some self employment and have not documented it very well. But I certainly cant do work for more than a couple hours a day. But w/out a Lyme doctor, (which I had in CA) I dont know if any doctors I have had would substantiate that.

disability review and general relief

I don't know about Kansas and their local customs as regard to general relief, but I have been on general relief here in California for two years while waiting for my appeals to go through.

You should request medical records from the other State's Dr. ( copies ) , of you DX. and prognosis in writing .

You may or may not be sent to a medical facility that SS uses to evaluate you .

At least with your records you could show them to a medical evaluator .

Not just your other state's doctors, which you indicate are out-dated and not current. Immediately order all of your medical records since you moved, so it can be determined exactly how 'poor' this evidence will be. I would also get myself to a superb doctor to really get evaluated NOW, before the review.

As for your prior work, did you earn more than $800+ per month before taxes, in any given month? If not, the work may not be so damaging, depending on how it is presented...

Given the issues you have proving you're still disabled, I suggest you retain an attorney.
