What is the name of your state? Texas.
Generally what is the status on receiving a cash gift from a parent if an individual is receiving SSDI payments? An SSA person today indicated that the disabled indivdual can earn up to $900 per month without it affecting her disability payments. She had no information concerning gifts. I also noticed that the average retired individual and receive in the $11.3K range of salary up to 65 when it goes to over 31K without affecting the Social Security payment. I would expect the rules for retirees is different than the disabled.:)

Best regards and Happy New Year
