How to get back my Social Security contributions before leaving the country?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA

I thank everyone in advance who would clarify this. I am a foreigner who is currently working in US. I am on H1B visa and i may go back to my country soon. As part of usual deductions from monthly salary, i have paid US government on Social Security. I will not be in US to receive my benefits. So, what is the procedure to get back my Social Security contribution from US government before leaving the country?

You don't.
Thank you for your contribution.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

How to get back my SS contributions?

Hello, I did not ask whether it is feasible or not. I knew that it is feasible for many of the countries based on the treaty signed by the countries involved. I just asked the procedure.

If you can't do it, that means there is no procedure for it.

Like everyone else has said, you can't.

But, if you need the contributions to become insured under a program administered by another country with their own Social Security system that has a totalization agreement with the US and you meet all the other requirements (age, length of time under the program, whatever else) you may be able to use your US years of work. So keep your pay stubs or W-2's.

Bwaaahaahaa! That is just so funny. It's cute when people think taxes don't really apply to them for some reason.

We are AMERICA! Give us your money.

(Maybe your government will give it back. At least they may ask you for less.)
