Identity theftWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California I applied for a junior college for internet classes 5 hours away and they called and said that they had another student with the same social security number as mine already. I headed down there and they even had a copy of her card in their files, and they told me that they cannot do anything until an investigation by the police is done. I went to my police department to file a report, they filed the report and didn't do anything else with it. I went and talked to SSN and they told me that they couldn't do anything until after the police looked in the matter. What can I do? This person is still using my number and I have called all of the agencies who refer me back to SSN. I am so frustrated. Does anyone have imput? |
