What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi
I recently was released from Federal Prison. When I went to the Halfway House I was told by the counselor that I could file for my retirement SS checks I was 66 at the time. I did and had to pay the Halfway House 25% of the monthly check. Now I receive a letter from SS saying they are gonna stop my checks because I wasn't supposed to receive them while at the Halfway house. Is there any recourse for me on this ?

I think your attitude is way out of line.
