What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana
I received money from SSDI which because of money I received from workmans comp turned out to be overpayment. Am I responsible for the portion of the money that Social Security sent to my attorney or will they be made to pay their portion back?

You are responsible for the entire overpayment. If the portion you paid your attorney was on a percentage basis, you can ask for a refund of the difference. Whether you get anything back is another story.
