I have a question im a 21 yr old applied for ssi disabled adult child for my psychiatric conditions (bipolar) back in june, but my disability started in may 2006. I got denied at the first shot and now appealing directly to the ADJ, my case being tommorow. My lawyer is trying to argue from the last time i stoped working in april 2005 but in any case. How much backpay is entilted to me. My dad is retired and recieves about 1100 a month so i heard in SSI Disabled adult child its 50% of this + ssi. do i get ssi backpay on top of the 50% as backpay?
