What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WA
What is the penalty for exceeding the $2000 limit for SSI in a given month? Do you return the amount for that month, or the amount that is over the $2000 limit?

Exceeding the Asset Limit

If you exceed the asset limit you must report it. You will lose your ssi for the month that your assets went over $2,000 and until it gets below the $2,000 mark again.
