I was under the impression that because I am a full time student I could work and make 5900 dollars for a year before my SSI is affected(thats what it said on their website) because of this fact I did not think I had to report it but I am hearing that I had to report it. My question is what happens now? Thus far it does seem that they know. My second question is that I was awared workstudy by my school but it does not count as income so will it affect my benefits? |
If you were on the payroll , you'd better report it , they will catch it sooner or later . If it's under the amount each month you're allowed to earn , you should have no worries .
Call SSA and inquire about your questions .
