108 mph speeding ticket in barstow. What is the name of your state? CA Ok i was driving to vegas and like all the other idiots i was speeding. My wife needed to use the restroom and from my knowledge i was traveling from about 85-90. until i reached the peak of the hill. short story at the bottom was a chp and he apperantly clocked me at 108mph. the guy was rude like most men in power are. and started shouting at me i just sign the ticket to get over it. i dont travel that fast i am sure its the first time i hit 100. i drive a jeep that feels forced at 80 mph but that day i was driving my wifes lexus is and i can tell you right now that 100 doesnt feel must faster than 60. ofcoarse this was my carelessness (is that a word?) well i thought i would get a bail amount but i got a mandatory to appear in court notice. anyways what am i looking at? i hear its 2500 plus one month suspended license which is a big problem for me i need to drive in order to work. i have received 3 tickets! in my life this one, a left turn ticket about 2 years ago and a speeding ticket about 4-5 years ago. what am i looking at here? |

| "Most"? In my experience (and I venture to guess I know far more officers and "men in power" than you do) those that are rude or overly officious are a minority. It's one thing to be curt and officious, and another thing entirely to be rude. Quote:

This May be a duplicate of where to look#1. On the internet type in the VC # you were cited for . #2. Fight Your Ticket and Win in California by Attorney David W. Brown is an essential source for reliable information on traffic tickets. #3. Check out Help! I Got A Ticket! website for information from Discovery to Appeals. #4. Discovery is available in Ca. which means you can request the officer's notes, video and any other information he plans to use in court. The above mentioned book and website has a form and instructions on this. #5. National Motorists Association Website is a valuable source for learning about options available to a driver cited for a vehicle violation. Do give the VC # you were cited for when posting a ?
