2 Speeding tickets - same day - in Upstate NYWhat is the name of your state? Ny I unfortunately got 2 speeding tickets on same day in upstate NY, different counties though, but within 2 hours of each other. My questions: 1) Can I plea bargain without having to hire an attorney ? 2) If yes, will appreciate if someone can explain how to go about plea bargaining without an attorney ? 2) Do I have to show up in person ? Answers will be appreciated. |

| 1. Yes. 2. Generally a representative of the prosecuting attorney's office will be present at the hearing. That person may approach you to make an offer, most likely you will have to initiate the negotiations. There may be other options such as deferred prosecution or driving school. 2. Yep.
