What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

I got a cell phone ticket and a no seat belt ticket at the same time, The tickets say contradicting locations (Main Street North and Main Street South). One of the tickets I could get off rather easily. Can I get off the other ticket because the locations contradict each other?

Main Street is Main Street... just because it was written North / South has no bearing.
And the fact that you are attempting to use one ticket as proof that you could not have been at one location, because you were getting a ticket in another is a dream. I am taking a guess the ticket was written by the same office (if issued at the same time).

Nice try. I am sure the resident NY traffic user will be in soon to give you a more solid answer.

Iterestingly enough, this was posted on another forum (E.L.).

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New York

2 violations issued simultaneously.

Summonses have different & incorrect locations on each. *Is this enough to dismiss both?

Improper turn states: *"Improper right turn middle lane" *is this an adequate description of offense?

2nd summons for failure to yield to ped in crosswalk. *Intersection is 42nd ST & 3rd Ave., NYC. *No traffic agent, and cops had set up trap by standing on sidewalk on NW corner of street. *Had slew of cabs and motorists pulled over @ peak of rush hour. *

All input appreciated.

So either this one error prone officer gets around, or its some sort of homework!

BAN THE OFFENDER!!!!!!!
