2 Tickets for Reckless at the same time of being pulled over.

What is the name of your state? Virginia

Alright say you are going down the highway going 88mph in a 65mph zone that is reckless driving. However, when the cops come to pull you over why on earth would they issue two citations of reckless to the same person for the same infraction. Is that even complient to the double jeopardy law or is that oblivious to it? It happened at the same time, date, person, and the offense was the exact on each citation. Also note that this person has never had a single point against his license until this incident and you would think they would go a little bit easier on the suspect. What are the options in this matter to argue in court?

I appreciate any help if you guys have free time.

It is very likely that you had TWO violations of reckless driving. We already know that one of them was the excessive speed. The other, for example, could have been for weaving, etc.

"What are the options in this matter to argue in court?"
The only defense I can see is.... "Gee, your Honor, I wouldn't have been speeding if I had seen the officer". Otherwise, looks like guilty on at least the speeeding and one of the reckless. Have to find out the reason for the other one.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Writer: there could be numerous individual counts under the main reckless driving charge.

Well the thing is, both citations had the exact same charge on it, 88mph in a 65mph... we were in no way weaving, we pulled over as soon as we saw the cops pass everyone behind us.

Then go to court, hear what the charges are and argue your case.
