2 tickets unpaid 3 years old need advice! What is the name of your state? MO ![]() I have a few issues that I don't know what to do about. A little over 3 years ago my license was suspended by the state because I didn't reply to the state about a random insurance verification. Well the exact day my license was suspended I was on a highway I had never been on in my life and got caught in a downhill curvy speed trap. Well at the time I didn't know my license had been suspended. The highway patrol officer clocked me going 69 mph in a 45. She didn't arrest me but she gave me a speeding ticket and a driving while suspended ticket. Like I said this has been 3 years ago and I never went to court so my tickets still remain upaid due to lack of extra finances as well as a warrent for my arrest. I have no clue on the statutes of limitations in Missouri or what grounds I have to fight my tickets but any advice we be greatly appreciated. What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? |

| Statute of Limitations only applies to the time between when the crime occurred, and when charges were pressed. Charges were pressed the moment you got a ticket, so SoL no longer applies to you. You have absolutely no grounds to fight any of those tickets. You did not show up for court, so you were found in Default (read guilty), and you truly are at the mercy of the state. Pretty much the only way you will be able to resolve this is to show up in court and turn yourself in. Make sure to bring enough money with you to post bail. |
