What is the name of your state? CA

I have recieved a 22348b infraction for going exactly 100 in the SF Bay Area. I am 17 and this is my first offense. On my citation, it says 100 for speed without a plus sign, with a 22348b violation. What should I do? Do I need a lawyer? Since I was going 100 exactly, should I claim to the judge that I should recieve a regular ticket? Is traffic school possible? Could the judge reduce it to a smaller ticket since the ticket says 100, not over? I have no idea how to go about this. Please help as it would be greatly appreciated. Are there any other places I could go for help?

Here are some hints on appearing in court:

Dress professionally in clean clothes.

Do not wear message shirts.

Don't chew gum, smoke, or eat.

Bathe and wash your hair.

Go to court beforehand some day before you actually have to go to watch how things go.

Speak politely and deferentially. If you argue or dispute something, do it professionally and without emotion.

Ask the court clerk who you talk to about a diversion (meaning you want to plead to a different, lesser charge), if applicable in your situation.

Here are five stories that criminal court judges hear the most (and I suggest you do not use them or variations of them):

1. I’ve been saved! (This is not religion specific; folks from all kinds of religious backgrounds use this one.)

2. My girlfriend/mother/sister/daughter is pregnant/sick/dying/dead/crippled and needs my help.

3. I’ve got a job in [name a state five hundred miles away].

4. This is the first time I ever did this.

5. You’ve got the wrong guy. (A variation of this one is the phantom defendant story: “It wasn’t me driving, it was a hitchhiker I picked up. He wrecked the car, drug me behind the wheel then took off.”)

hey rescuer,
Have you called the phone number written on your citation to check if your citation is entered into system yet?

I got a similar ticket few weeks back. I was doing 103mph, the automated answering system says that I'm eligible for traffic school ($403 overall fee). I haven't registered for traffic school yet. Not sure if I should first go to court and see if Judge can lower the penalty fee.

Was it a 22348b?
Look for another post with 22348(b) vc in title.

City : Hanford, county: Kings County.

The speed limit on that part of I-5 is 70mph
