34 over speed limit in Dekalb Co. GeorgiaWhat is the name of your state? Georgia I got a ticket for going 34 over the speed limit. When I called I was told it was a mandatory court appearance. Does any know why I can not just pay the ticket and what effects could this possibly have on my driving record? |

Because you're probably facing a reckless driving charge. Big points, big fines, possible suspended license. Could carry a jail sentence, but doubt first offense will give you that. |

| If you did that in my metro area county, you'd be in jail. That's a serious charge, and if you're under 21, you're license will be suspended. |
