5mph ticket in ca SPEEDING

What is the name of your state? Californai

I got a ticket for 5mph over speed limit on my motorcycle. Lets be honest, for what I did, could have been 30 day impoud, jail if he was an azz(0) but that normally wouldnt happen. Im HAPPY to get the speeding ticket...my question is

I have been told that a ticket under 10mph you will be fined but no points on record. Can anyone tell me if this is true. I have found nothing to support this, I have a clean driving record and dont really want this point tho. Thank you

Check here and see if you qualify for a one-pointer. I don't think there are any moving violations that are zero points, though. However, I am sure a certain CA police officer will check in shortly in order to confirm or rebut that, so stay tuned.

How was it measured, ie. radar laser etc. The person that can give you the best insight is Carl aka CdwJava. I believe he is in law enforcement in CA. Hopefully, he will chime in.

Don't believe what you heard from anyone. Verify it with the authorities. Read the vehicle law rules as they apply to speeding. Book can be found and read in the police stations.

Reason why you are unable to locate any supporting evidence is because there isn't any. All speeding tickets in Ca. are moving violations which have penalty points.

Pay the fine and take the driver safety classes. Doing so will keep the ticket violation from appearing on your driving record.

Regards and Good Luck
