You should reconsider the long term costs including the insurance increase. You probably can't afford not to have a lawyer on this one.

It might... if you had been stopped for doing 70 MPH in a 65 zone.

At 94 MPH, there is absolutely no way anyone is going to believe it was due to speedometer error.

i know it wont make up the difference at 94

but when would u get pulled over for 5 over?

by law speedos cant be more that 4% off

i used a gps before and was looking like it was 8-9% off

im not saying i was not speeding but most of the traffic(trucks)
were doing 70-75

i thought i was doing around 80-85
yes that is still speeding

well waiting for a lawyer to call me back on what the costs will be ,

Usually you can plea bargain for a lower speed, especially if you are eligible for traffic school. I don't know if they will also you to take traffic school in OH or in KY though. If you go to traffic school, your insurance won't be affected at all.

BTW, I had a speeding and seatbelt ticket in KY in 2003. It was also a mandatory court hearing. I plea bargained for a ticket at 70 mph and the seatbelt was dropped. I went to traffic school and everything was fine. I was, of course, prepared for trial because I disagreed with both tickets. My license was NOT suspended.
