Accuracy

Hi there. I live in New York and got a speeding ticket in CT. Does anyone knows how accurate does a written ticket has to be? If there is a mistake can it be dismissed in court?
The officer wrote I hold a Connecticut license, when in reality is a NY license.
Thanks everyone.

Getting Information

Information on what MAY cause a ticket to be dismissed is found by
typing in Speeding Ticket FAQ on Google. Scroll down to the section on mistakes on traffic tickets that are considered material defects. This site also has information on how to fight a speeding ticket if that is the driver's choice.
Speeding Ticket--Fighting or Plea Bargaining is another site with info on options for a driver cited for speeding.
Driver's Licence Compact typed on Google gives info on out-of-state driver violations. Basically the state that issues the violation collects the fine by payment of bail or conviction of traffic violation and the state where the driver has his licence assigns points by their own system when notified by the state that the driver receives the traffic conviction in.

Best Regards,
Hey There
