AZ Photo ticket of a vehicle I own but have loaned. What is the name of your state? Washington I have loaned a vehicle to someone in Arizona. I am a registered driver in Washington. Recently, I received a summons from Arizona naming me as a defendant for Speed Greater than Reasonable and Prudent. The attached photograph is clearly not a picture of me -- I have not been in Arizona since last year. The Magistrate Court is offering me four options: 1) Pay 2) Sign, Provide a copy of my WA lisense and Id the the driver and they may exclude me 3) Appear 4) Attend driving school If I do not respond before the Appear date, AZ threatens a default judgment, a civil sanction and or a lisense suspension. I understand that WA is a party of an interstate ageement for traffic violations but want to know if they have a legal basis to compel me to respond -- guilty until I prove innocent seems suspect to me. |

| Its not "guilty until proven innocent". Its "innocent until found guilty in court and if you're too lazy to show up then we have no choice but to find you guilty." You have been given your options. Unless you want to accept all future citations from your friend, I suggest letting him handle his own court battles. |

| Innocent until proven guilty doesn't mean you don't have to go to court to answer a charge. They've got evidence that your car was committing an infraction. They give you the choice to go to court or to even to submit info by mail that you are innocent. The "Pay" option is just a convenience for the guilty. |

| If you want some consolation with this ticket, it won't count against your driving record if you pay it.
