What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

I have a speeding ticket going 104 in a 70. I have a pre-trial coming up next week, would it be in my best interest to go to the pre-trial and plead guilty/ no-contest and perhaps beg for mercy or a lesser defense? or would it be better to hire an attorney to plead guilty for me. The court house is 3 hrs away so Im slightly leaning towards hiring an attorney, I know its a long shot in my situation, but are the magistrates usually somewhat merciful?
