CA: 59 on 40What is the name of your state? California Hey guys thanks for reading. I was exiting my school parking lot to move to another parking lot that is closer to my next class. As i was exiting my parking lot, i had to make a left turn into a big street and i speed up because there're cars coming toward me. I speed up only for like 10 seconds or so to catch up with the car in front of me to calibrate my speed with traffic speed. I realized i was going a little fast so i immediately slowed down behind the car in front of me to match his speed. after i slowed down, which is only like 15 seconds after i left the parking lot, the cop pulled me over for speeding. He said he laser me 59 and speed limit was 40 and charged me wit basic 22350 I went back the next day to check that distance that i exited and to the point i got pulled over, there were no speed limit signs posted there. DO i have a case for this? or can i just explain my situation? i know laser are pretty accurate, but is there anyway to dispute it? thnx guys |

| Fight it. You have excellent chance the cop won't show up for the trial. If he does show up, you can use the speed trap defense. To learn about it, go to library and ask for book on how to fight your ticket. Pug
