california, 22349(a)vc speed garberville $330 fine only violation
hi
i was cited while on vacation in ca. 85 on radar. 93 on citation.
letter from court stated mandatory appearance.
after talking to clerk and prosecuter was advised to send bond amount and letter to judge explaining that i am out of state.
did so. i sent letter and check three weeks in advance of court date. called to verify many times. court phones were not answered.
now received warrant form my arrest with new violation vc 22349(a) & vc 40508 (a) bail $586
court claims to have received letter 8 days after court date.
have new arraignment date june 6th. would like to not have to go or pay the extra bail.
seems a little cruel and unusual or at least unpleastent.
interested in your advise.
