California registration

I was given a ticket for not having California registration and proof of insurance in my company vehicle. The company vehicle is registered in Oklahoma. I went to go clear the ticket and showed the court clerk the Oklahoma registration papers, and proof of insurance, and she said it will not work. I must have California registration to clear the ticket, but also need at least 7,500 miles on the vehicle to have the registration transfered to California. I am at about 5,000 miles right now and the ticket is due in about a month. I don't understand how they can say get the vehicle registered in California to get it cleared and not give it. How would I go about clearing this matter? Is there another way other than just letting my company pay for the ticket? Please advise...
