I have a warrant for an unpaid speeding ticket and for not showing up to court because I pled not guilty to speeding. Can that warrant be served in NY where I now reside, a good 8 hours from CT, even though the warrant was made out in CT?

A: No. However, there may be other reprecussions: e.g., you could get your driver's license suspended. Check with the NY licensing authorities to see if that could happen.
